Kilimanjaro Safaris
Kilimanjaro Safaris was the highlight of the whole park for us. We got the full range of animals on our run, and Johnny was locked in the entire time. The truck moves, but it is a slow, bumpy safari ride, not a thrill ride, so it never scared him.
Na'vi River Journey
Na'vi River Journey is a slow, dark boat ride through the bioluminescent world of Pandora, and it was perfectly toddler-friendly. It is calm, it is beautiful, and it is short. Johnny was fine with the dark because there is so much to look at, and there is no drop or jerk to it.
Expedition Everest and Avatar Flight of Passage
These two are the headliners for the adults. Expedition Everest was a walk-on with Lightning Lane, basically no wait, and it is a great coaster. Avatar Flight of Passage is the big-ticket ride at Animal Kingdom, and Johnny was far too small for it, so we used rider switch to get the adults through.

Do not sleep on the walking trails and shows, because they are free, shaded or air-conditioned, and made for a toddler's attention span. The Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail in Africa and the Maharajah Jungle Trek in Asia let a little one walk right up to the glass on gorillas, tigers, and more at their own pace. Shows like Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo: The Big Blue and Beyond are big, colorful, and easy for a two-year-old to sit through, and the Feathered Friends in Flight bird show is a fun, low-key watch.
Honestly, we ran out of time for a lot of this, which is exactly why I push back on the half-day label.
