Why the name? It’s really simple.
Myself and all of the guest writers share something in common, we are all thought leaders in the eCommerce space, hence ‘online’. Queso is made out of cheese and cheese is another word for money, which is what eCommerce stores generate.
In addition to the Queso -> Cheese -> Money relation, Queso (the delicious cheese, not this site) is awesome for a multitude of reasons. This tasty appetizer/side dish/dip (so many categories it could fall into) can elevate anything it comes in contact with. Dipping tortilla chips in it or simply adding it to a meal, it improves everything! (Diana gets it!)And much like it’s IRL counterpart, Online Queso does the same! Small, digestible reads that should elevate your approach and thought process. Most are on eCommerce topics, but we will occasionally sprinkle some other things into this dish (think how sometimes queso has jalapenos or some meat in it).
Giving you some additional insight, I have been in eCommerce for a little over 5 years and have been fortunate enough to see a great amount of success. In this period of time, the brands I own (with a group of business partners/friends) have generated over $100 million. I have learned so many things through the years via experience. So many lessons learned. So many mistakes made. Unfortunately, short of speaking events and interviews, nothing is documented in a way to help others...until now. There are some pretty big events on the horizon and I want to make sure I share the takeaways of these future experiences over the next 5 years!
